every week, Ed and I are repeatedly asked questions about the
best place to buy long guns and handguns online. Ed and I have
have looked at a number of different Internet sites that sell
guns. Based on our reviews of these sites and personal experiences,
we recommend an online gun auction site called Gunbroker.
It's
sort of an Ebay for guns. The prices and selection there are
really hard to beat. For example, I had been looking for a used
Savage Stevens Model 24-C over/under .22/.410 for quite awhile.
I found a really nice one on Gunbroker and managed to snag it
well under the typical prices that I had been seeing. Even with
FFL shipping fees, I still came out with a great deal. We just
referred one of our customers there and he got a great deal
on an XD9 Subcompact. It really pays to shop there first.
Much
like Ebay, the Gunbroker sellers are rated on their feedback,
so you can immediately see if you are dealing with a reputable
seller. In addition, Gunbroker also has a list of pre-approved
FFL dealers all over the US who participate in the Gunbroker
program, and will be glad to assist with a FFL transfer at a
reasonable cost.
